Biography
Laine Baker is a corporate lawyer whose practice encompasses a broad range of commercial transactions and the general representation of businesses in matters involving commercial finance, real estate, mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, stock sales and purchases, corporate governance and general corporate operations. Her clients include both public and private companies engaged in a wide range of industries, including real estate development, sports, banking and finance, restaurant, and energy, oil and gas.
While in law school, Laine was elected to serve as the president of the Student Bar Association, founded the Corporate Law Association and was the recipient of numerous honors, including the Real Property Section of the Oklahoma Bar Association’s Award for Excellence in Real Property Law and CALI Awards for excellence in Oil & Gas, Electric Commerce and Debtor & Credit Relations. She graduated summa cum laude from Oklahoma City University School of Law in 2005 and was named “Oklahoma City University Alumni Outstanding Graduate.”
Laine is an active member of the Young Lawyers Division of the Oklahoma County Bar Association, serving on its board of directors and chairing the YLD 2008 golf tournament benefiting the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma. She also serves on the Oklahoma County Bar Association's Work/Life Balance Committee.

Representative Experience
- Represents commercial real estate developers in the financing of multi-million dollar real property acquisitions and developments, including mixed use development projects in the Oklahoma City Bricktown entertainment district
- Represented one of the nation’s largest national restaurant chains in multi-million dollar acquisitions of real property and the purchase and sale of numerous operations across the United States
- Represents the Oklahoma RedHawks baseball team and Oklahoma City Blazers hockey team in leasing matters and various business transactions
- Representation of the Oklahoma RedHawks in ongoing business and contractual matters, including naming rights and sponsorship agreements
- Assisted in the representation of small and large businesses, including locally and nationally owned restaurants and oil and gas companies, and individuals in the due diligence and negotiation of various merger and acquisition transactions, including asset and stock sales and purchases
- Represented a seller in a $50 million divestiture of a local oil and gas company
- Represents local financial institutions in the due diligence process and documentation of multi-million dollar commercial financing transactions
- Represented an Oklahoma City-based lender in the multi-million dollar financing of operations for one of central Oklahoma’s largest car dealerships.)
- Active in the representation of corporate clients in resolving various day-to-day corporate governance issues, business matters and real property related matters.
