Biography
Patricia Rogers practices primarily in the area of health law. Her experience in healthcare includes Medicare fraud and abuse and Stark compliance and analysis, development of medical staff bylaws for hospitals and ambulatory surgery centers, counseling on physician employment arrangements, review and analysis of contracts, advising healthcare clients on EMTALA and HIPAA compliance, developing joint venture arrangements with physicians and other healthcare providers and organizing professional corporations and other professional entities.
Patricia assists hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers and other healthcare facilities with issues related to state licensure, Medicare conditions of participation and JCAHO and AAAHC accreditation standards and advises physicians regarding professional licensure standards and compliance with Stark.
Her achievements in the area of healthcare law have earned her inclusion in the 2007 and 2008 editions of The Best Lawyers in America.
Prior to entering law school, Patricia was employed in management positions with healthcare institutions. She served as the coordinator for the Institutional Review Board at an academic medical center. Patricia was formerly an active duty and reserve officer in the U.S. Air Force Medical Service Corps.

- Assisting hospitals and ambulatory surgery centers and their medical staffs in developing governance documents, including governing board bylaws and medical staff bylaws, rules and regulations.
- Developing corporate compliance programs and counseling healthcare clients regarding HIPAA, EMTALA and Medicare certification and payment requirements.
- Advising hospitals and ambulatory surgery centers on National Practitioner Data Bank reporting and fair hearing requirements.
- Assisting physicians and other healthcare providers in forming joint ventures to develop imaging facilities, sleep labs, physical therapy centers and other healthcare facilities.
- Advising physicians and physician groups on corporate organization.
