Biography
Spencer Haines joined McAfee & Taft in 2004 and practices in the area of taxation and corporate and securities law. He holds a master of laws degree in taxation from New York University, a law degree from the University of Oklahoma, and a bachelor's degree in accounting from Oklahoma State University.
While earning his Juris Doctor, Spencer received numerous honors, including the Nathan Scarritt Prize for the highest academic standing in his class, Comfort Scholarship, John McHenry Mee Scholarship, S.T. Bledsoe Memorial Prize, Robert B. Looper Memorial Scholarship, College of Law Association Scholarship and American Jurisprudence Awards in Torts II, Criminal Procedure, Commercial Law, Corporations, Federal Securities Regulations, Corporate Income Tax, Health Law, Estate Planning, Bankruptcy and Legal Research and Writing I.
Spencer worked as a senior accountant with Arthur Andersen for three years before attending law school. He has been a certified public accountant since 1999.
In April 2008, Oklahoma Magazine named him to their "40 Under 40" list of outstanding young professionals.
