Biography
Chris Coleman’s practice encompasses a broad range of business transactions and general representation of business entities, including securities offerings and public company reporting; mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and financing; forming, structuring and capitalizing new entities and reorganizing existing entities; and business contracts.
Over the course of his career with McAfee & Taft, Chris’s client list has included businesses engaged in virtually every major industry, including energy, real estate, financial services, engineering services, software, food manufacturing and distribution, sales and communications. For six of those years, he primarily served in the capacity of general counsel of Foodbrands America, Inc., a public company that operated a major food manufacturing and distribution network. His duties included mergers and acquisitions and the public finance and public reporting involved.
This broad base of experience, combined with the ability to identify and fully understand client needs and pull together the expertise of other legal specialties within the firm, have proved invaluable to clients requiring highly integrated legal solutions to complex legal matters.
Chris is particularly regarded for his experience in representing companies in connection with mergers and acquisitions and public finance transactions and advising their boards and management in connection with those transactions as well as their public reporting and fiduciary obligations.
