BiographyDianna Peters brings more than 33 years of legal experience and expertise, including nearly 30 as a legal assistant, to her role as a certified paralegal. Though she currently assists attorneys involved in the practice of business and securities litigation, she also has significant experience in areas of general litigation, banking, employment law, family law, insurance, medical malpractice, oil and gas, probate and wills, products liability, real estate transactions, and intellectual property litigation.
The Oklahoma native graduated with honors from Rose State College with a degree in legal assistant studies and later attended the University of Oklahoma. In addition to attaining the CP designation from the National Association of Legal Assistants (NALA) in 1989, she has also actively participated in continuing education classes since beginning her career in 1975. Prior to joining McAfee & Taft in 1986, she worked at three other law firms and in-house counsel for an oil and gas company.
Dianna joined McAfee & Taft in 1986. She is a member of the National Association of Legal Assistants (NALA) and Central Oklahoma Association of Legal Assistants (COALA). She has served as a district director for Oklahoma Paralegal Association, and has coordinated and instructed CLA review courses and other paralegal seminars. In 2008, she was honored as COALA's Paralegal of the Year.
Dianna also volunteers as a docent at the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum, and serves on the Docent Council Board, and is the Coordinator for the Wrangler volunteer program.
