Biography

Throughout her extensive career as a paralegal with McAfee & Taft, Virginia Fulton has developed significant experience and expertise working in the areas of taxation, estate planning, and employee benefits law.  She currently assists attorneys in matters related to wills, trusts, estate taxes, gift taxes and probate law. 

Virginia holds a bachelor’s degree in English and physical education from East Central University and a master’s degree and Ph.D. in educational administration from the University of Oklahoma.  In addition, she has completed more than 40 hours of legal assistant classes at the University of Oklahoma, the National Business Institute and the Institute for Paralegals.  Prior to joining McAfee & Taft in 1983, Virginia worked as a high school teacher, coach and administrator in Oklahoma public schools for 6½ years.

Over the years, Virginia has volunteered her time and talents to numerous community efforts, including providing relief support in the aftermath of the Oklahoma City bombing and the May 1999 tornado, serving as a tutor at Gateway School, and supporting various local and national youth and women’s organizations.  In 1997, she was honored as “Member of the Year” by the Downtown Optimist Club.
