OK - December 5, 2007Paula S. Hancock, an attorney with prior career experience in the aviation industry, has joined the Aviation Law Group at McAfee & Taft, the state’s largest law firm. Her practice is concentrated on the representation of clients involved in the buying, selling, leasing, financing and registration of aircraft in a wide spectrum of transactional matters falling under the purview of the Federal Transportation Code, FAA Regulations, FAA Aircraft Registry, and Cape Town Convention and International Registry.
Upon graduating from Oklahoma State University in 1995 and prior to embarking on a legal career, Hancock gained valuable insight into the aviation industry while serving as a co-owner and operator of a full-service FBO, flight school and corporate flight management company in Ada, OK. She later earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Tulsa College of Law in 2005 and worked as a corporate lawyer for Wichita, KS-based Hinkle Elkouri Law Firm for several years before returning to Oklahoma.
Hancock serves as a panel attorney for the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association and is also a member of the Oklahoma Bar Association, Wichita Bar Association, Wichita Women Attorneys Association and Young Lawyers Association.
